Operation Christmas Child is a project developed and led by the Samaritan’s Purse organization.  Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian relief and evangelism organization led by Franklin Graham.  The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Fairview Baptist is truly blessed to have been approved as a local drop-off point for Operation Christmas Child in the Western Sandhills area of North Carolina.  We will be accepting shoe boxes at our Christian Life Center building, located just northwest of our main building at 1580 Carthage Road, West End, NC 27376.And, if you aren’t able to donate during National Collection Week, don’t worry!  You can quickly and easily donate and build a shoebox anytime online at the Samaritan’s Purse website.

If you have questions about Operation Christmas Child or our drop-off location, please contact us via email.

2016 National Collection Week Review

National Collection Week was Nov. 14-21, and with God’s blessing and the support of families, schools and churches in the community we collected 1,201 shoeboxes at our drop-off location! We experience real growth here in our area of Moore County, with new participating churches and increased numbers from those groups and congregations we welcome each year! We are so very thankful to all who prayerfully packed and donated to help send the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to more than one thousand children around the world.

2015 National Collection Week Review

National Collection Week was Nov. 16-23, and with God’s blessing and the support of families, schools and churches in the community we collected 950 shoeboxes! While this was a slight decrease from last year, we saw increased participation from existing churches in our community and made new contacts for next year! We are so very thankful to all who prayerfully packed and donated to help send the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to more than one thousand children across the globe.

2014 National Collection Week Review

National Collection Week was Nov. 17-24, and with God’s blessing and the support of families, schools and churches in the community we collected 1,035 shoeboxes! While this was a small decrease from last year, we saw participation from new churches in our community and are excited to be a part of the Fayetteville region which collection a total of 30,360 shoeboxes! We are so very thankful to all who prayerfully packed and donated to help send the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to more than one thousand children across the globe.

2013 National Collection Week Review

We were once again blessed to be drop-off point for OCC shoeboxes at our Christian Life Center location this year.  National Collection Week was Nov. 18-25, and with God’s blessing and the support of families, schools and churches in the community we collected 1,105 shoeboxes!  This is an increase over last year and we are so very thankful to all who prayerfully packed and donated to help send the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to more than one thousand children across the globe.

2012 National Collection Week Review

The 2012 National Collection Week finished up at Fairview with a grand total of 791 shoeboxes.  That is 791 children that will receive a gift to call their own, know that they are loved, and most importantly, hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Words cannot express the gratitude that we feel for the many churches and individuals that donated to Operation Christmas Child this year.  Thank you and God Bless!  We look forward to working with you again in 2013 to reach even more children across the globe with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
